Quite, Smooth, Stable, Durable
Overall, a great product and seems like it will last a long time. Pros: -Adjustable Tension -- Doesn't seem like it's doing a lot when you ramp it up, but ramping it down seems more noticeable. The resistance change between 7 and 8 (max level) is prominent. It's not going to give you the workout of a full upright elliptical, but for under-desk or couch usage while watching TV or gaming, it works very well. -Stability -- The pedals are steep enough that using it while standing isn't really reasonable, but are steep enough that using it sitting down at a desk or couch is comfortable. The pedals don't wobble and the wheels under the heels don't drift. -Weight -- At 35lbs, it's heavy enough to stay put for the most part (see Cons) or use for arm curls, but light enough that it can be moved from room to room without any trouble. -Tracking -- It doesn't pair with other devices or any of that fancy stuff, but the display on the unit tracks stride count, time used, calories burned, distance traveled, and RPM, as well as a scan function that toggles between them all. It's nice to be able to rest it at the beginning of the day and work toward hitting 10k strides. -Feeling the Difference -- Using it on max resistance for a half hour to an hour, you'll feel it in your legs, get a bit warm, and sweat a little, so it does it's job without giving you sore, achey legs the next day. Cons: -The grippy foam pads on the front of the unit peeled off after a couple of days of use simply from resisting sliding on the ground during use. Now that they're gone, the unit drifts forward while in use ever so slightly, but it's not enough to deduct points. Just wish they used something a little more permanent to add grip to the front. I might try some hockey grip tape around that area to see if it'll do the job. -If the resistance went up to 10, or the maximum resistance level were a little higher, I wouldn't mind, but as it is, I definitely get warm and a little bit of a sweat from using it for a while on 7 or 8. I seriously questioned whether it was worth paying twice as much as the next most popular under-desk elliptical, but having had it for a couple of weeks now, I have no regrets. It's really handy and portable, does what it says, and is virtually silent when operating. This is the elliptical you want.
