Works For Me !!
I read all of the reviews...surprised at how negative some of them are. I was injured in an accident +22 years ago = lower back surgery. Went through all the complaints - pain, sciatica, sore back - walking on lighting bolts - you name it. Was issued one of the initial TENS units back in the day (wired unit) with separate pads. No relief and returned it. In retrospect, thinking back on that, I realized my pain levels so soon after that surgery were simply too high for that unit to be effective. Now, at 70 years of age, I purchased the Aleve unit. Why? I've had all the surgeries there are and can't have any more, "No further intervention is possible" - this from the Neurosurgeon. The VA has me on a strong pain management program with opioids. Perhaps some of the users carping here didn't read the instructions as thoroughly as they should have; I had no problem at all understanding how to apply the gel pads; they stay on just fine, and removing the TENS device SLOWLY as instructed results in them staying on the device without peeling off on me. Yes, the pads are pricey, but not as costly as the surgeries I've gone through, and it is a medical device that can be tax deductible. So - did it work? Yep. I'm up to level "3," and the thing allowed me to go to sleep wonderfully for the first time in years. Oh, about the levels - I called and was informed there are a total of 15 user levels. How do you know which one you're on...try counting as you push the "+" button. So far I'm delighted with this - bear in mind I'm 100% disabled, homebound and unemployable - my daily life is one of continuous pain and misery. This unit actually brings me some relief so I'm happy with it. Hope you do as well. John
