I bought this to use in one of my vehicles that does not have a lumbar support built into the seat. It works great for that purpose, especially while driving on longer trips. In the past, I'd have to stop every hour or so to rest my back on the way to my cottage. Now, I can make the whole 2.5 hour trip without stopping and when I get there I am not sore. There are two small issues that might affect those who use this product in their car: #1 is that this may not be good for people over 6 feet tall that use this in smaller cars, as the thickness of the cushion may position you too far forward in the seat and cause you to feel cramped. The #2 issue is that if you park your car outside over night and it is below freezing, the cushion gets hard. (this compounds issue #1) I would recommend bringing the cushion inside on cold nights. Also note that the cushion comes with extender straps. I had no problem attaching it to my car seat without using the extender straps. I would imagine that you might need the extender straps in an RV or bus with very large seats. Update on 10/01/22: Well it's coming up on 5 years and the seat cushion is still holding up! Admittedly, I don't use it as often but it still feels the same and hasn't ripped or torn. Who'd have thought I'd get over1,000 helpful votes on a seat cushion review. LOL Just remember to bring this cushion indoors on the sub-freezing nights!
