READ THIS. Buy this is you’re desperate... I sure was.
I have a 9 year old cocker spaniel who has been dealing with chronic ear infections practically her whole life. She has used every antibiotic under the sun and ointments galore. We have spent thousands of dollars on meds, treatment and allergy testing. Her dermatologist (yes you read that right.. my dog has a dermatologist.. and I dont), said it could be allergy related. We got her tested and turns out she’s allergic to every animal protein and should essentially live in a bubble. Anyways, now she’s on a strict vegetarian diet and it still didn’t help her ears. She’s taking apoquel daily and it helped at the beginning but not anymore. The doctors have given up and have recommended doing a total ear ablation. For those who do not know what that is, it’s total ear canal removal. Look at the photos I posted.. the photo with the pus and crust was when it was starting to get really bad. It smelled like something died in her ear, and it always oozed. She kept itching it like crazy which is why it’s swollen. The second picture is one I JUST took. Total difference. No more pus, she doesn’t itch as much and it doesn’t smell AT ALL. What did I do different.. LISTEN UP BECAUSE THIS COULD POSSIBLY CHANGE YOUR DOGS LIFE. 1. We sleep with a commercial fan. My dog has floppy ears and the lack of airflow ruined her life. Ever since we got major airflow into our room when we sleep, it has helped to dry out her ears. #1 thing that has changed her life. If you can’t sleep with a big fan, get a small one. I swear, IT WORKS. 2. I clean her ears ONCE a week. The doctors told me to clean her ears two times a day but I noticed it only made things worse. I use THIS product and let me tell you the difference it has made... The fan dries out her ears leaving a brown oxidized wax behind. Im sure it’s a yeast issue because it smelled like hot Cheetos but this cleaner cleans it allll up. Her ears have not looked this good in freaking years.. I first clean superficial gunk out with a q-tip, then I squirt this into her ears. Squish squish squish and then you clean up the gunk that comes out. It has worked like a charm. This stuff is super gentle on her ears and this is coming from a really sensitive dog. 3. I always shave the inside of her ears to keep the area clean (which reminds me I need to do that tomorrow), and I do not get her head wet when I bath her using room temp water. Keeping her ears hair free helps keep it dry, and obviously, I don’t wet her head because it causes a humid environment. Anyways, buy this. It really has made a difference in her ears.
