Fitness Tracker Smart Watch with Waterproof BT 5.0 Phone Sync and Free App
I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Amazon Vine Program. Seller The DSmart Store lists this as "V100S Fitness Activity Tracker Smart Watch with Heart Rate Monitor / Skin & Body Temperature Smartwatch for Men Women 1.14" HD Screen Bluetooth 5.0 IP68 Waterproof for Android & iOS (Black)". I wanted a slim watch style pedometer fitness tracker. Picture 1 shows what I received. Picture 2 shows the innovative charging method which uses a portion of the band built in to the watch to carefully plug into a standard USB wall charger. The buckle band press fits over this USB 1/2 thickness charging tab instead of using a Micro USB Port on the device. I liked this and found the battery life very good with mine being at a bit less than half charge after a week of awake wear use as a pedometer tracker and no recharge. The software is free to download and stores information on the cloud. A "trial sign on" is available which I opted for as I do not want everything on my phone scraped and sent to who knows where. Permissions for the WoFit app are selectable with my Android phone; I accepted location, body sensors and notifications which is about the absolute minimum. I don't see the need of the V100S Smart Watch to tell me of a call or message - that's what my phone is for! The software is pretty good with many features but does have some imponderables. The instruction booklets are reasonably good. The setup asks a number of personal questions to include: skin color, weight, height, and birthdate. I can understand that their software algorithms need this to calculate much of the information the device and app can provide to me and was accepting of that setup. I loved that the device syncs with my phone by Bluetooth 5.0 (pairing is easy). The device needs to stay nearby your phone as it is a low power BT device. When worn the display illuminates when I merely turn my wrist towards my face - Great! Picture 3 did not show how bright and reasonable easy to see the display is. The device has a tiny touch sensitive strip at the display bottom to allow me to select functions and features. I had to install the WoFit App first to my phone, of course. It runs in the background at all times. Use was fairly easy once I understood the WoFit App. I have used this daily as a pedometer and heart rate monitor which I found to be reasonably accurate. Temperature and B/P much less so. This is a great value. My personal reservations about sharing EVERYTHING on my phone made me limit this review to just a few functions. The software is reasonably mature and looks good. Recommended.
