Took me all of like 15 minutes to set it up. Not allowing for unpacking time. Anyway, assembled it, easy peasy, put the window thing in popped in the hose, plugged it in and turned it on. I like that it does show room temp and not just what you have it set at. Have only been using the unit a few days, I'll update the review a few months from if necessary. Fan only has two speeds, low and high. Both are tolerable to sleep with. Unlike the window unit we had, you barely hear the cooling unit kick on. This really is a quiet unit, probably on low it would be equal to a ceiling fan on high. This was shipped from California and it arrived without a scratch, kudos to UPS. Update: Have run this now for about 20 days problem free. Today the filter light came, removed the filters wiped them down and reinstalled them. I've included a short video of the unit in operation. Hopefully it helps with noise level questions.
