We purchased both the auto and deluxe versions of the rock n' play because we couldn't make up our mind, but ultimately we chose the Auto rock n' play and here is why: Both versions perform essentially the same function. Both offer twelve songs and nature sounds. Both have two rocking speeds. Both come with color-coordinating clacker link toys. Both are awesome. The only differences between the two are the materials (one is soft and plushy/minky, one is not), the vibration attachment (one vibrates, one does not), and the cost (one is significantly more expensive). While we liked that the deluxe was soft, cute, and could vibrate (with two C batteries), we did not think that those minor differences warranted a $30 price increase. The auto rock n' play was exactly what we were looking for in both practicality and price. We purchased the rock n' play as a portable bassinet for trips/ travel and it has more than served its purpose. Our son slept almost five hours the first time he slept in the rock n' play. The six - hour setting is so great! I would definitely recommend this sleeper!
