First, let me say, I like these slippers a lot. They are roomy, comfy, very soft and cloudlike to walk in. There's only one thing that really takes away from them, and that's the little-embroidered acorn in the heel. Why, oh why can't they put that acorn in the less load-bearing arch? It really irritates my heel. In fact, after they've been on a while, it downright hurts. I don't see anyone else complaining about it, but if you are like me (princess and the pea comes to mind), it will bother you. I am thinking that I may take my trusty seam ripper and try to remove it. Also, I was wary about everyone saying order a size down. Order a size down. I wear a 9 1/2 wide shoe. I ordered size 8-9 and they are roomy. I could wear fairly heavy socks with no problem.
