New found HOPE with nail dips
I had been disappointed when around about a year ago I spent a good bit of money on nail dips only to find I didn’t seem to be able to do them myself. Why were others successful and not me? It can be several reasons combined. Having a quality item, for one, and using the product correctly. I thought I was doing everything right but now I know I was really wrong. And I think, by some of the reviews I’ve read, that others have similar issues. I’ve played around with mine a good bit since I got mine and I haven’t messed up and got the bottle all dried up and hard. Using gels for a little while now, I know that it’s important to use lint free wipes and was so confused when person after person and instructions have said to wipe brush off on paper towel. You see to me, I thought how can you wipe your brush with this stuff that seemed to be like super glue. My logic was completely flawed. After reading many many reviews and watching lots of tutorials I started hearing the word “contamination.” So, I am an idiot to understand anything about chemistry but apparently there’s something that dries up the Base/Top coat if you get just the slightest bit of Activator gets on that brush. It is just best if you “wipe the brush on a paper towel” before you go to put the brush back in the bottle. I thought “put a gluey like substance on a paper towel? No way!” Well, maybe I’m not that bright? Quite possibly! But, there’s a lot of others who have used these and other nail dip products incorrectly. I have not had any problem with the brush or the product getting dried up. It’s hard to remember to wipe the brush off before putting in the bottle but you have to get used to it. Now, I’m ordering more because I’ve played around doing my nails so much that I’m afraid I’ll run out and only have a few of my nails done. *Another important thing to note as well… I had also been disappointed thinking that the top coat didn’t get shiny enough, but again you have to understand the product more. Stop comparing it to UV/LED gel. So you have to just do a quick top coat as a first coat, wait 2 minutes (or apparently when you see the streaks, which is when I used to get upset thinking I messed it up), and then you can do a 2nd coat more thoroughly and capping off the ends. Do be careful though through this top coat process not to get too close to the cuticles. It’s easy to flood the cuticles.
I’m so happy I gave this brand a try. And I’m glad I read more reviews and watched tutorials closer. I hope this might help someone! Good luck!!!
Oh, it comes with 3 replacement brushes in case you do get it dried up but thankfully, that never happened! 😁
