I got this as a deterrent . Didn't want to take the cloud service and still haven't inputted a sd card. I basically check it when it detects motion and I can check it on my phone . Because of the talk feature, I can talk to whoever is down there, I can make a siren sound if needed as well. I have it set at low intensity and it still picks up a lot. When kids ride past with skateboards, bikes, etc, it will pick them up. I think my battery will not last as long before I need to recharge it but that's ok. I've used it to tell the kids not to play in driveway. I can see my mailbox so should there be a theft, I can see the culprit. Not sure yet if I can print a picture of someone from my library and not sure how much days of library I have as I just installed it recently. I really like this camera and if you were to use all the features with either cloud service or sd card, im sure this would be even more of a great product.
