Plain & simple, this stuff is awesome. I've got several 100ml bags split among 3 different tanks and all of them are crystal clear. Bi-weekly water checks show the ammonia, nitrite & nitrate levels are consistently non-existent. It took a while for me to believe the stuff would work as well as everyone else had described, but when I finally took the plunge a few years back and tried it in one tank, needless to say I was shocked at how effective Purigen is. After a 120-day trial run in one aquarium, I ended up switching my other two tanks over and I haven't regretted it one bit. While the stuff is renewable, and in theory will not need replacing, the price is so low that I usually buy new 100ml bags of Purigen every summer to replace the existing ones in my tanks that have been cleaned and reused throughout the previous year. I highly recommend Purigen to anyone who is looking for an easy (and renewable) way to control the ammonia, nitrate & nitrite levels in their aquariums.
