As fate would have it, when I zipped up the first protector, the slider came right off the end of the zipper. I hadn't even used the product yet and I was already stuck with a protector that I couldn't unzip to wash. So I contacted Everlasting Comfort at the email address provided with the protectors. They responded immediately and within a couple of days a new protector was delivered to my door. You can't ask for more than that. A certain percentage of new items are going to fail, that's just a part of life. The question is, how will the people that you gave your hard-earned money to respond when you ask them to make good on their word? You can rest assured that Everlasting Comfort stands behind this product 100%. As for the protectors themselves: I have two rather expensive king pillows manufactured in Canada with alternating layers of down and feathers. The protectors do not in any way inhibit the comfort of the pillows. If memory serves me correctly, there may have been an initial transition when the air inside of the protectors gave the pillows a bloated air cushion feeling. But remember, these protectors breathe. So when I rested on the pillows, within a minute the excess air escaped through the pores of the protector and the pillows felt great!
