I got these over a year ago to calm down a very aggressive cat and the scaredy cat she was picking on. It didn't work. Thankfully we have finally achieved detente through other means. However, my elderly cat wanted the treats too when the other two got them. Maggie was 18 at the time, and Maggie gets what Maggie wants. What a difference! Maggie had all the signs of feline dementia. Howling at night, getting lost, etc. She had gotten to where she spent all of her time hiding in a crate in the dining room. She would only come out to go potty or eat. She had done this for months. Shortly after she started taking the treats, she started becoming more active and mentally alert. Now she visits other parts of the house without getting lost. She comes to me to be petted. She hasn't been in the crate in months. She spends most of her time on the window seat, dozing in the sun or watching the world. When she is awake, she is alert. I was watching my kitty slip away, and now I have her back. I know this is not advertised for dementia, but you might try it if you have a senior kitty. Maggie is 19 now and doing better than she did for at least a.year before I started giving her Composure. I think it's a miracle drug.
