OK I read all the other reviews and I can see that people are having a little fun at these speakers expense. I suppose it's the 53k price tag, but let me tell you these speakers are worth every penny and more. I bought these speakers and set them up in my living room with nothing but my computer, my Firestone DAC and my Krell to audition them. I loaded up Diana Krall (HD) and was getting ready to push play when, just then, an airplane crashed into our house taking out the back 1/3. The house was immediately and totally engulfed in flames. I was blown right through my door and onto the front lawn where I lay stunned and senseless, unable to move. From inside the house I could hear the cries of help from my wife and kids. As I staggered to my feet desperately trying to collect myself enough to stage a rescue, what do I see but one of my Waterfall Niagras *carrying my wife and kids out of the house to safety and the other speaker coming through our side door with the family dog under its arm.* I could not believe me eyes. If it weren't for these speakers, who knows what would have happened? As it is, thanks to my Niagras, my story has a happy ending. We're all so grateful to them both we can't even think about putting them to work, so I can't testify to how they sound, but I can say this- these speakers are worth every penny I paid and more. I would not hesitate to recommend them wholeheartedly ! The heck with saving for college and retirement. These speakers are a must buy!
