My mum is part Jamaican and she has a cousin in Jamaica that sends her pure Jamaican black castor oil. This one is VERY similar to the one my mum has that I know is the real stuff. It is dark and syrupy and has a roasted nutty smell. The smell isn't great but its not horrible either, if you use the appropriate amount you will barely be able to smell it on you. The positive effects of this oil definitely out way the cons. I've been using this on my eyebrows for about a month because I noticed they had started to get kind of batchy. My eyebrows are now so much thicker and filled in. When I go out these days I just brush and shape them, before I always felt pressure to fill them in. I also use some in my 4c hair and it is very moisturizing. I think this is closest thing to authentic Jamaican black castor oil on amazon, and it seems to have all the benefits.
