I found myself in an accident just two days ago, two months after buying this jacket. It took some work to break it in, even after using saddle soap to soften it. But it performed flawlessly when I needed it the most. I was travelling at 40mph when a car suddenly cut me off, I tried to evade it, but my bike slid and I was sent sliding over the asphalt at about 20 mph. I did not have a scratch in my upper body. This jacket literally saved my skin. I am not a paid writer, nor a computer. Today is April 14 2013, my accident was on Friday in Fayetteville NC on a cloudy 12 April 2013.
