I recently upgraded my iPhone 6 to and iPhone XS. I typically travel about 2 weeks a month and rely on a battery case to get me through the day. After I upgraded my phone, I started looking for a battery case and purchased this one from Smiphee. I never heard of the brand but based upon the reviews I chose it. I've taken the battery case on three different trips so far and it's worked great. The case is made of two different materials, the bottom material that holds the battery is stiff. The top part of the case is flexible. It's flexible to easily allow you to slide the case one without damaging the lightning connector. Yes, the case does charge via lightning cable (my previous one used micro USB, which was a pain since I needed to carry another cable). The case is very well designed. Some of my lightning cables have large ends and with some other cases, I've needed to remove them. Not with this one, the lightning port is very accessible. The case does add some extra weight and size but it still easily fits in my rear pants pocket. Since I only use this case when I travel, I've found it's pretty easy to remove as well.
