Disclaimer: I sew semi professionally so I am not an average at home crafter making a skirt here and a bathrobe there. I am interested in how sturdy it is, and the ease of adjusting the size quickly without much headache. Ok Dritz what the actual hell, we need to have a talk. My last dummy had numbers on the dials and this one doesn't? As someone who makes costumes for people this is a major hindering of my ability to work. Now I have to get out the measuring tape everytime I need to change the size. A major pain in the ass. So 2 stars in the easy to use category. However if you are a home crafter or cosplayer who only uses your dummy for you, maybe adjusting it once in a while then disregard this lack of numbers being a major problem. It would be annoying yes but not a deal breaker. It's easy to put together anyone who says otherwise is just being ridiculous. And the best part is the super annoying hemming tool I always trip over can be removed and put back on as I need it or dont. Its light weight and with a bit of wrestling you can pull the feet off the stand and break it down enough to shove it into your car to take to a friend's house but it's not something I would recommend stuffing in a suitcase to take with you to a convention or on a flight. The stand is sturdy and has retention hardware to keep the dummy and stand from sliding down as you work on your project. Which for me, who works on heavy projects is a massive improvement over other stands. My last dummy of this brand lasted heavy almost daily abuse lasted over 5 years before one of the dials broke on me. And is a much better product than those bottom of the line Singer band dummys I have had before. So yes the dials are plastic and so is the body so don't go cranking the front bust dial all the way up to full without adjusting the others as you go. And lastly mine came and it was not blue like I was expecting. Not a deal breaker but a little bit of a shock when I opened the box.
