Nothing I’ve tried has calmed my older cat’s winter dry, itchy skin. She balks at application of meds meant to soothe her skin and stop the scratching. The scratching aggravates her dry skin and causes more scratching. The first time I tried this spray, I sprayed it on my fingers (out of sight) and rubbed it into her itchiest spots. After a few minutes, I sprayed my fingers again, this time in front of her, and rubbed it into the dry skin on the top of the base of her tail. Then I parted her fur on the itchy spot on the back of her neck, held the spray head against her skin and sprayed, massaged it in and repeated in another spot. Unbelievably, she tolerated all of this without objection. She curled up in my lap and just stared at me. Now, when I pull out the spray, she calmly lets me apply the spray onto her skin. I’m amazed. I haven’t seen her scratch in days and the scaly spots on her skin are almost completely gone. Great stuff.
