Cats were checking it out within a minute of starting it up. 2 of 3 drank from it. One even chose to claim it as hers and growled and slapped the other for trying to drink from it. Eventually he got a chance and has used it at least 3 times since it was set up about an hour ago. Third kitty is special needs and has never drank from running water. I hope she will try and like it. It is such a help that I don’t have to turn on the tub for one kitty and the sink for another. It was easy to set up. The fountain is metal, but I don’t think it’s stainless steel because a magnet doesn’t stick to it. But it’s much better then ceramic because it won’t break. Or plastic that could deteriorate or be made with unsafe chemicals.
