I'm a pen weirdo. I've been a teacher for thirteen years, and in my early years I accepted anything that writes. Now, I have my favorite and it's InkJoy Gel Pens. I accept no substitutions (though, Bic Cristals will always hold a special place in my heart.) Here's what's great about them: 1. They come in vibrant, fun colors! This particular pack has two of my favorites-- teal and purple. Both colors are appropriate for what I do with them (i.e., writing in my planner, writing notes on stickies, giving student feedback, etc. I'm not signing legal paperwork over here!) The lime green is a little light, but overall, InkJoy makes pens that are legible-- no crazy unreadable neons (except in the larger pack, where yellow is an option-- and I barely use that one for that very reason!) 2. The flow! Man, flow is important when it comes to my pens, and these pens have THE BEST FLOW. Gel pens can get ruddy and choppy and can be very unfun to write with, but not these guys-- they are smooth, effortless, beautiful! 3. They don't smear and they don't bleed. I dunno, other reviewers complained that they did, but maybe they used them wrong? I'm going to chalk it up to user error because I never ever have a problem. I've used these pens for a few years and it's always a great experience. The only drawback, I guess, is the price. They're more expensive than a ball point pen, but hey, you get what you pay for, and a good writing experience matters to me.
