This the 2nd pet eraser I've purchased and this one definitely has a leg up over the older model that I owned previously. When I had reviewd my first pet eraser, I was impressed with the dog hair pickup without having to clean out rollers. I raise Cavaliers and our "Dog World and Puppyland" see a LOT of dog hair, and the pet eraser models do a great job on pickup on both hard floor and area rug. I did, however knock them down a bit on engineering on the first one. Older model, you had topractically stand on your head to turn a knob in order to engage the tool suction and then once again to change it back to floor. VERY ANOYING....but the updated model has fixed that by making it automatically switch when hose assembly is removed from base. BAM! Also had suggested that all three of the tool attachments sould have an "on board" location rather than having to pick which TWO you wanted handy. BAM! Was annoyed at having to take out 10 screws to gain access to bottom panel. Reduced to 5 in his model. No BAM for that, but a definite improvement. Also, the updated model has a retractable cord. BAM! Great bonus. All in all, they took all my suggestions for a better product. (with not so much as a job offer or a cash bonus to go with them! Humph!) But I'm just happy to have the "new and improved" model of this vac. It's a keeper in my book!
