I have a Britax Marathon for my car that I use daily for my 15 month old son. I bought another cheap convertible car seat to use when my son goes with other people. However, it was such a hassle to get in and out of the car, that I just started taking my Marathon in and out of the car since it's so easy to install and remove. I finally got tired of it, and when I saw the new line of convertibles were out (it seems like Britax updates the line every year), I went ahead and purchased this Roundabout as my extra car seat. It's perfect and I love it, but of course I'm partial to Britax products. The only real difference between this car seat and the Marathon is the head cushioning (not a big deal since my kid is 15 months) and the fact that you have to manually thread the shoulder harness to adjust the height (with the Marathon it has an adjuster you can just slide up and down). These are really minor luxuries, and you're getting all the great things about a Britax convertible for a less expensive price. Great for me as a second car seat!
