turns off automatically when turned placed back in the charging case but reconnects back again. only way to prevent this is to manually turn off each ear bud by holding each button for 5 seconds and NOT putting them back in the case OR turn off the bluetooth on your phone. either way, you wont get that seamless pick up and go experience. major points off for this in my book when even cheaper generic alternatives dont mess up this badly. UPDATE: anker reached out to me and offered to send me another pair. the new one works as it should, but ironically the phone call they made to me was a chance to test their not so stellar phone call quality. but they're good for music and so were the last pair despite their apparent defect if thats all you care about then it shouldnt be a problem. updated score for good customer service that actually takes the initiative to reach out.... i just wished the charging case was a more comfortable shape for pocket carry.
