This Sodastream Genesis was a last minute impulse buy for the entire family for Christmas. And I have to say, it was THE best thing we did! Me, Mom, The Kids, we still use it every day and LOVE it. I chose this model intentionally for the lack of bells & whistles. According to reviews, the other models with displays & lights break often, and frankly, you just don't need them. The Genesis simply carbonates water...very well. The second thing I did, was buy a Sodastream adapter on eBay and three paintball tanks from the CO2 Doctor (search for it). Got them filled at the local welding shop, and we have CO2 for months! Its pretty obvious the Sodastream brand CO2 refills are just stupid-expensive. Oh..and don't believe the hype. There is no such thing as "food grade CO2". The best part? No more trash bags of cans & bottles to return! Score!
