I am flight attendant with a 24 year career, based out of New York City's JFK airport. I have been working (with the exception of 3 months 5/20-7/20) all throughout the pandemic. I have had to wear a mask from the time I walked out of the apartment door in Manhattan, on public transportation, through the airport, for the duration of my sometimes 10+ hours flight shifts, and to the layover hotel. In other words, I have had this mask on my face for up to 15 hours at a time. I have come in contact with drivers, public transportation riders, homeless individuals in train stations and on streets, passengers, and colleagues. I was not vaccinated until I became eligible in late Feb/21-Mar/21. These masks (and believe me, I have tried everything under the sun) have been my "go to". They are as comfortable as a mask is going to be after so many hours of wearing, and they have kept me well and safe. I have not gotten ill in the time I have been using them, and I have been in contact with many, many people from all over the world and all walks of life. I like that they do not touch my mouth so I can speak and breathe while wearing it. They are also nice looking (which although secondary to safety, is still an appreciated feature). When our flights began to fill up again in the late spring, I did begin changing out the mask halfway through the day so as to keep it fresh and clean. I have recommended this particular brand of KF94 masks to many colleagues and passengers, who have also purchased the masks after I have 'given them one' to try. When I am at home and just going out for short excursions, such as the grocery store, I do wear my re-washable cloth masks. However, for working, or anything that warrants a greater risk of covid exposure, I prefer these disposable masks, as I can replace them to keep them fresh while on the road. I like to place those little rubber ear loop adjusters on the elastic, so I can adjust the fit to be nice and tight. My husband (who is a big guy with facial hair) can wear these without the ear adjusters, and likes them as well. I do not wear glasses, but for the short time that I was required to wear eye shields when flying, I found this mask to only cause minimal fogging of the lenses...mostly when it was very cold out, or if I didn't have it adjusted tight enough. My daughter, who does wears glasses, likes that her glasses do not slide down with this mask as opposed to the N95's. I realize for daily wearing it can get expensive to use a disposable mask like this, but I only work about 10 days a month, so for me the cost has been worth the protection I feel I am getting. I will continue to wear these mask as long as they are available. I have now bought from this amazon seller about 6-7 times, and I find the quality has been consistent.
