Got into metal detecting recently with an entry level detector (Bounty hunter Pioneer 202). Spent most of my time on the beach sifting through the sand for coins and trash. :) Went to the playground and got lots of hits, but I couldn't locate anything in the hole. I was feeling pretty discouraged. Yesterday I bought the Pro-pointer AT at my "local" metal detector store and hit the beach again. What a difference! No more hits that I can't locate! We (my son and I) found tons more stuff because we could locate it in the hole. I was hesitant to spend the money, but it was SO worth it. If you're metal detecting without a pinpointer, you are making it SO much harder than it has to be! Buy it. Don't look back. Be much happier. It's fun again! Absolutely love this thing!
