I gotta say, I was real stoked to get this welder. Couldn't believe the price. Welding aluminum got significantly worse the few times I used it. It was driving me out of my mind thinking I was doing something wrong or something wasn't clean enough. But I finally tracked down the source of the contamination. Any one having trouble welding aluminum should check this. It is leaking from the gas connector side. Test by covering end of torch with thumb to see if it holds pressure. If not take apart the dinse connector cover and test further by listening or by activating gas while holding assembly under water like in the video. When gas flows, it pulls in outside air through a vacuum. Hence contamination. They shipped this welder 5 months ago. Repeat , I have only have had this welder 5 month. I pre-ordered it 6 months ago and a couple of days. They say they won't cover it since the purchase date is out of warranty. So one month of the warranty was wasted and counted against me while this thing was waiting to be back in stock and in transit to me. They did offer to sell me a replacement torch for $100 though. Yeah , no thanks. ***Update*** Christian at AHP has reviewed my purchase shipment date and honored the warranty torch. I have not received it yet due to some shipping issues. But he had been very helpful.
