I bought a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese to measure the contents of the box so I'd have an idea of pasta to powder ratio. (1 and 1/4 cup pasta to 1/4 cup powder, in case you're wondering) I decided to cook up the Kraft M&C and an exact replica version using Anthony's Cheddar Cheese Powder and some DaVinci elbow macaroni. Anthony's is a much finer powder so it tends to clump if you dump in all the powder at once, so mix it in a little at a time. I served up a cup of each to family without telling them which was which, and simply ask which they like better. The flavor is very similar, but everyone said Anthony's CCP had a bolder flavor! Best of all, you actually get a lot more more Macaroni and Cheese for your money by using Anthony's CCP and your own store-bough bag of pasta. Sorry blue box, but you've been replaced.
