I'm writing this review because before buying this lid all other reviews didn't help me much. Fist off I got my bottle at REI on 02/2017. Hydro Flask 24oz standard mouth. Some reviews for other lids mention a old model and fitting issues. 1- this lid fits perfectly on my bottle 2- the straw was hard to fit onto the lid but once in i don't think it could come off easily as others review mentioned. I just got it, so I'll update the review if anything changes in the next 4 weeks. 3- the straw does reach really close to the bottom of the bottle. The 24 oz hydro flask is a very tall bottle, no issues here. 4-the lid is not insulated, I could see this affecting how long the bottle would hold temperature, but for me its not a deal breaker. 5-mouth piece feels good. It doesn't take too much effort to sip from it.
