I have had very deep, cystic acne on the sides of my face/jaw for almost 4 years. It was adult onset and came out of nowhere. My husband had begun telling me he was not attracted to me, it was so bad. He missed the clear skin I had at 18 when I met him. I was heartbroken and needed something that would FINALLY clear my skin. (Doctors and various medicines, lotions, essential oils, supplements, extracts & pills hadn't worked.) I was literally having little balls of soft wax, like soy candle wax, pushing to the surface of my skin from somewhere so deep it felt as if it came from my bones. These were NOT normal zits. They were something from the pit of hell. One reviewer who had symptoms similar to mine said to use Ole Henricksen African Red Tea foaming face wash plus Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel. I am SO INCREDIBLY GLAD I took her advice! Here is what I did to clear my face miraculously in 3 weeks: While in the shower where the steam has opened my pores, I use original apricot scrub gently on my face (my skin needs a little help exfoliating or my pores clog). I rinse and then immediately (while still in the shower) wash my face, neck and chest with two pumps of Ole Henricksen African Red Tea foaming cleanser. I leave the foam on my skin for about 30 seconds and then rinse. Once I am out of the shower and dried off, I put the Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel on a cotton ball and use it as an astringent all over my face. Sometimes I drench another cotton ball and go over problem areas. If I have some zit boil that starts to rise up, I dab on therapeutic grade tea tree/melaleuca essential oil to help calm down the area. I bought the Ole Henricksen and Thayers Witch Hazel and began using them the day before Halloween 2017. By Thanksgiving 3 and a half weeks later, my skin had cleared. No more deep, painful boils from hell bubbling up, no more huge red cyst things, no open boo-boos - ALL CLEAR SKIN. This has not happened in 4 years. My husband began complementing my skin shortly before our Thanksgiving trip when it began to clear up. (I used these products for about two weeks and actually had more cysts come to the surface before it all cleared but I knew to expect that. Keep using it! The clear skin happens quite rapidly once the last cysts surface!) I am soooooo grateful for this product. I plan to always keep a brand new bottle on-hand so I don't run out. It feels so good to not be embarrassed about my skin any more!
