So far, happy with this unit. Did a lot of research and compiled helpful tips and answers below from other posts and support: 1. Let the unit sit unplugged for 24 hours to avoid damage after receiving unit. It’s right in the manual and on box 2. When using the hose extension to drain, use thread tape to avoid leaks. Also, don’t crank the connection too tight with tools, just as tight as you can by hand. Some people mentioned leaks without using thread tape or others said they broke the plastic thread connection by using tools to tighten way too tight, breaking the plastic thread connector right off, ruining the connection completely. 3. Turn off continuous if you don’t want it to run non-stop. This is turned on by default and some users complained it never shuts off. This is why. The humidity setting and “comfort” setting (read manual for these) both work as I tested them and they are accurate and function. 4. Make sure if you use the hose drain that gravity runs downward to the drain. Others said they had to tilt the unit back with shims or magazines on the front wheels to avoid some water draining into the bucket and not all going into the hose. Mine is flat on all wheels, drains through hose fine with gravity and zero water in bucket, just as it’s supposed to. Everything else is great and works as it should. Be sure to clean the filter every 2 weeks per manual as it can get clogged and dusty. Set a reminder on your phone if you have to in order for it to run efficiently. The rest is a piece of cake and unit is great!
