First let me preface my review with this: I am a recording engineer and a sound designer. My opinion of these speakers is not subjective. I have listened to literally hundreds of speakers, most of which are professional reference monitors that cost 50-100 times more than these. That being said: 1. These are not Reference Monitors. 2. These are not Home Theater Speakers. (They could be used as such, but aren't intended to be, In my humble opinion.) These speaker are however simply the best 2.1 Computer/MP3/iPod/iPhone setup I have heard for the money. I challenge anyone to do better than these... really. Positives: -Tight, balanced high, mid and low frequency replication: Not Bose boomy, Not Logitech mid scooped, not Harmon Kardon brittle. -Fairly compact -Loud: How loud? ...Loud enough, trust me. -Clean and clear even at 80% volume. -Remote control -Treble and Bass cut/boost Negatives: -No Power button on remote -Short speaker wires (3.5 feet) -LCD Display is very, very bright. Consensus: Buy it.
