I think my cockatiel is going to love her new cage! The other reviews are correct in saying that the directions suck. They are written in English, but by someone from another planet. It might be possible to put this together by yourself, but it was definitely helpful to have a second person. Once you figure out where everything goes (no thanks to the directions), it’s actually fairly easy to put together. The only hard part was putting the wheels on the bottom at the end. Some of the pieces were sharp, but the sharp parts seem to get hidden once you get the thing put together. Note: this cage doesn’t have storage at the bottom, and it is taller than it is wide. The only potential problem I see with the cage itself is that the food doors don’t stay closed very well. I think I will put little padlocks on them to keep my students from opening them. The lock in the front seems sturdy, but the screws attaching it to the door stick out in the back—only a problem if you have curious children who might stick their fingers in there. I think it will last a long time. The only part that doesn’t seem very sturdy is the seed skirt, which doesn’t seem like it can take much pressure put on it. I think I will change out the perch for several smaller perches, since the one included is pretty thick. All in all, I think this is a great cage for the price, and my cockatiel will have plenty of room to move around and play. I’m adding a photo, because I feel like that would have helped with my decision when I was purchasing the cage. I am 5’3” for reference.
