Just got this today. When I opened it up and didn't quite understand the instructions so I searched the Internet for a video. I found one for this exact model. Watched it and was disappointed because it says you need a bike with a rear wheel quick release. NOT TRUE! Then I read some of the one star reviews which state they returned it because of this, I was very sad. I didn't want to have to return it and wait for another one. I decided to try to put it together anyway to see if it works without the quick release, so far it does. I am a 250 pound woman and I've been on it twice for about 10 minutes total and so far no problems. It's also not loud like a chainsaw, that is a total exaggeration. It sounds like the normal gears of a bike to me. I'm watching TV while I'm using it and I can still hear my TV while writing it. I will be riding it quite a bit in the next couple of months due to knee surgery (tore the ACL in both knees while rollerblading ') I can't ride my bike on the street with the unpredictability of events that it might cause. I will update this review in case the excessive use of it without the quick release breaks it. It seems to fit just fine and snuggly on the bolts. Very tight not wobbly or anything. The resistance is fine too. When I first had it connected it was too tight and I had to release it a little. It's as simple as tightening the back adjuster knob.
