Price is worth the time you'll save cleaning it
I've had other cages in the past but this is by far the easiest to clean. Most cages have very small doors that are impossible to maneuver around and plastic shelves that clip on that you have to fight with to remove for cleaning. The fact that the double wide doors open up all the way and the shelves aren't clip-ons makes cleaning go a lot faster. I own 2 of the 63" tall Critter Nations (one for male rats, the other for females) and to deep clean both of them it takes about 3 hours. That may sound like a lot of time, but part of that time is just me waiting for their fleece and beds/hammocks to finish drying. When I got my first two rats, I got them an All Living Things Luxury Home for rats and it took me 3 hours to clean, and that's only one cage and it is leagues smaller than the double Critter Nation. Most of that time was spent wrestling with the stupid plastic clip on shelves that never seemed to want to go on or come off and trying to become a professional contortionist to put things in / take things out through the small cage doors.
This cage is also fun/easy to accessorize. Since the shelves have three height adjustments, it gives you a lot of control over where things can go, you can attach hammocks and other things to the bottom of the trays. You can also add additional lava ledges and bird perches for more vertical climbing. I took off one star partially because the double wide doors do make it almost impossible to put lava ledges anywhere but towards the front of the cage, unless you have someone else helping you. Ultimately though it's not a big deal.
As others have said, there's a chance your box will come damaged and the cage itself is a pain to put together. Both of my cages have some slight gaps in places where things just weren't lining up correctly, but the gaps are more cosmetic than anything. They don't affect the stability of the cage and the rats can't get out of them or anything like that. It just looks sort of shoddy. (Another reason I removed one star.)
Overall though, I've been extremely happy with my purchase. I've owned one of these DCNs for close to a year now so I can say with complete certainty that they're built to last.
