Whenever I review beauty products I like to give a little information about my skin type. I am in my 30's, I have hormone driven acne, but also very dry and sometimes flaky skin. I look for products that are as natural as possible, won't cause further breakouts, and are non-drying. I have a pretty involved beauty and makeup routine and when I apply makeup, I always use a setting spray to make sure my makeup doesn't go anywhere throughout the day. A lot of makeup setting sprays contain alcohol, which is not something I personally will ever use on my face, because it dries out my skin. I was excited to try the Art Naturals brand as it is the most natural setting spray I've seen thus far. It's also quite a large bottle and should last me a long time. The key to using any setting spray is to hold it at least 10 inches from the face. I use 4 sprays, 2 in an X formation across the face and then 2 in a T formation. This helps apply it evenly without huge droplets hitting my face. It's also important to make sure the sprayer is cleaned of any residue, or else it's possible for the sprayer to become clogged. I haven't experienced any clogging with this product thus far. As I sit here writing this review, it has been 15 hours since I applied my makeup. By this time of night, I usually have a little bit of oil in my t-zone, but with the setting spray, my foundation has only broken down minimally. My eye makeup however hasn't budged at all since it's application. I am including a close up picture of my eye with this review. You can see that my liquid eye liner is still intact, as is my eye shadow and highlight. Without a setting spray, my eye liner always creeps out into the teeny fine lines around the sides of my eyes after a few hours. I have used this setting spray for several makeup applications and am always amazed with how fresh my makeup looks even after hours of wear. I have never had a setting spray extend the life of my makeup as well or for as long as this one has. I am really happy with all of the products from Art Naturals I have tried and this is no exception. It's filled with quality ingredients and has worked perfectly with my skin type to keep my makeup in place hours longer than it normally would. I will be buying this product again and again.
