I got these as an upgrade from myR+ units. I like the look of these, they're very comfortable, and the build quality is excellent, but IMO, they don't sound better than the R+. They are not as bass heavy as the R+ (which I like in the R+). I also experienced some "popping" in some music that had brief pauses in songs. I paired my R+ with the same device and played the same track at the same level and the "popping" was not there. If I didn't already have the R+, I would probably keep this pair, but I can't justify keeping them at this price and not be 100% happy with them. UPDATE 5/14/15: I've changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars because I discovered the 3D mode after reading the manual. Makes them sound so much better. If Bluedio can fix the "popping" issue that I still experience, then I will change to 5 stars. I would also like to see this 3D mode remain enabled until manual turned off. As of now, it turns off after 3 seconds if you pause a song, or if you turn the headphones off. UPDATE: 6/8/15: I've updated the headphones with Bluedio's latest firmware. Customer support was excellent. After the update, the "popping" is now gone. They also now "remember" 3D mode. Before if you paused the music for more than 5 seconds, you would have to re-enable this mode. This mode is also now "remembered' even when the headphones are turned off. This was not the case on the previous firmware version. Upgrade instructions needs work, but I'm much happier now.
