Since the pandemic started, the school became online. I survived with one screen last semester, but it was a struggle to complete some classes. Doing programming while zoom is open was the worst part. This semester, I have an advanced class of last semester. in order to work efficiently, I needed a second monitor. I had been doing research for the best affordable monitor. Many reviews and youtube I had watched recommended this product. Many second monitors only have a USB-C cable connection. I use Surface Laptop (generation 1). my laptop does not come with a USB-C connection. but this product can be connected with HDMI. My laptop has a mini-display port, but I had a converter from a mini-display port to HDMI, so I thought this product might be the best option. so here is why I love this product: - comes with all the cable you need (USB-C to USB-C, Mini-HDMI to HDMI, USB-C to USB-A for powering, wall charger) - screen protector included - smart cover that can be used as a stand - free warranty card (you can easily register for 3 years + 6 months warranty online. it took me like 1 minute!!) - 15.6-inch screen - resolution 1920x1080 - delivered super fast!!!! I ordered it and said to be delivered in 2 days but the next day, it was already here!!! Things you might need to know are: - you need to connect the power cable when you are connecting with HDMI. - you might need to download the latest Java when you connect with your laptop with HDMI (I was able to connect with my laptop without doing anything but a resolution couldn't go 1080p. I could not figure it out, but my roommate helped me. that turns out I did not have the latest Java on my laptop. after downloading it and restarting the laptop, the Lepow screen worked fine as 1080p) - screen protector: as I watched many youtube reviews, it seems like putting a screen protector is a struggle. so I did not put it on yet. Although, it comes with a clean film on the screen. I just kept it on, and it looks fine to me. - the cable that connects to other devices (laptop, gaming console) is on left, but the power cable is on the right side. (This was a bit struggle to figure out where I want the cable to go. the cable management might be a bit tough, but for me, I use this for school so I'm ok with it.) I have not played games on this monitor yet, so I cannot make any comment on gaming. but if you are looking for a second monitor for work/school that can be connected with HDMI, good quality, good customer services with relatively affordable pricing...THIS IS IT! This monitor helps me to work efficiently! I love this! [Update] I purchased this screen 6 months ago. It has been working perfectly fine for 6 months. I did not put the screen protector because It seems like many people struggle putting it on. but the screen is still clean and no issue without a screen protector. I am using a screen holder to keep the screen off the desk for more space on the desk. I highly recommend you to get one if you are using it on your desk. There is one minor complaint to make...is the sound that this monitor makes. When the monitor is on, it makes the high pitch sound almost like tinnitus. It stops for a bit and starts making the noise again. if you are sensitive to the sounds or like to work in quiet surroundings, you might notice it and might feel annoyed. I don't know if it is for all of their screen tho.
