Most delicious things on the planet.
A Manhattan (the cocktail) is inconceivable without these proper cherries (they soak up some of the bourbon and are a treat at the bottom of the glass waiting for you). And i've managed to get several friends addicted to them. They are pricey, admittedly, and no cheaper at Bevmo or Total Wine, but... oh just indulge.
2 oz favorite bourbon that's not too sweet (Maker's)
1 oz sweet (red) vermouth
2 dashes of ang. bitters
2 of these crazy delicious cherries.
gently stir over large crushed ice and serve on fresh rocks or strain into chilled martini glass to be posh.
have 8 or 9 of them and call your parents.
