The instructions were useless. So on picture one I set up my computer to watch the online video which was basic. Picture 2 is using a 3/8 16 bolt and 3/8 washer 1 1/2 inch applied to each foot. Don't skip this step. You have to buy these items for a couple of dollars. Thanks for the post that added this step. Picture three I added a rubber bottom ( I cut up one of my rubber jar opener pads that I use- dollar store) I didn't want it to slip on the carpet. Next, I measured and put in one screw on the metal slat only but not securely so I can adjust later. I measure next to make sure the foot was at 30 inches - the middle. Make such the first metal slat has the lock facing back of the bed. Tighten like in the video. Watch it and follow my photos. First metal slat down so tighten the 3/8 bolt below washer on the foot. DO NOT FORGET AND CHECK EACH FOOT WHEN DONE. Do the same for next metal slat and attach the cross brace. Video will direct you how. Attach cross bar to middle metal slat first- not the first metal slat. When middle is secure attach it to the first metal slat. Do not screw middle rail down leave open for adjustments. Last metal slat, same procedure for each rail and foot. Attach cross bar look at my pictures and video as this step combines two rails together. When the foot is tightened secure down with screw on each side. Last step secure screws on middle rail. Done. Started at 3:15 pm and finished at 5 pm. It is very secure. Love it, I did this for women who needed it. I am 66 years young and instructions useless and video basic. This should help all my sisters out there on your own. Can you tell I'm a retired teacher?
