I love this little scale. I've always purchased cheap plastic ones that are good. But, for good sourdough making, I wanted to get something a little more accurate. Plus, it has a tare feature. Simply put, whatever container you might be measuring into, place it on the scale first. Activate "tare" and it 0's out the scale! Now you are measuring your ingredients or items, not the bowl. No more weighing the bowl or plate and then having to do the math to figure the true weight of your contents! (See picture: measuring cup on, but scale reads '0' after Tare button -- to the right of measuring cup -- is touched!) And it can be set to grams or ounces. I know I've seen many a European recipe online, but I didn't want to have to try to convert or guess grams to tablespoons or ounces. Now I don't have to! This scale can measure from 0.1oz to 22 lbs (2g/3g to 10kg) in .1 oz increments. Not bad! I'd highly recommend this scale for the home chef!
