HG for damaged skin
After learning of the abuses to my skin, a skincare aficionado would clutch her pearls in horror. Apricot scrubs. Too many alcohol-based cleansers. Over-exfoliting. BOAR HAIR BRUSHES! I brought out the bigger guns the worse my skin texture became, and then realized physical exfoliation was the devil. Unfortunately by that time, years of damage had been done and my new chemical routine wasn't working. My skin was still ruddy and while it looked overly oily, it was obvious that my moisture barrier had been shot. I picked up Cicplast Baume as it doesn't have the fatty alcohols I tend to get from the more popular HG moisturizers. I keep it basic: wash with warm water in the morning, hyaluronic acid then Toleriane. At night , I use this Cicaplast Baume and a wee bit of Rose Hip and seal it with an occlusive. Considering I had been destroying my skin for years, this simple routine made my skin beautiful at about a month. I absolutely love this cream and will use it until the giraffes come home. It also great for lips, and mine naturally take up a bit of real estate in my face. My parents gave me lips like a carp, and keeping them soft requires quite a bit of product. This does the trick. Or also works well on dry cuticles or other various body parts, but I use it primarily on the money maker. This cream could presumably do anything you ask of it. Except bake a hummingbird cake, apparently. I tried. Thanks, for that Ambien. In summation, if you have dry skin or are looking to repair your moisture barrier/acid mantle, this may be what you seek.
