I purchased a different one before since it was a 2 for 1 deal. Didn't work so I decided to give this one a shot. I live in the country in an old house so bugs are everywhere! I was tired of all the spider bites. In the month that I've had this, I've been bit twice. So much better than numerous bites daily. Will this eliminate bugs? No. Bugs are everywhere and short of extermination, bugs are still there and even with extermination, return. Will this reduce the number of bugs? Absolutely. Some of you may not see any if you live somewhere where bugs are less prominent others may see a couple a day, like people in the rural areas. I wish it did make them all run away forever but I'm happy with it being where it is. If you purchase this item, keep in mind that nothing eliminates them. This will decrease them significantly. Not sure how it works on rodents as cold weather hasn't arrived yet. I'll update if it doesn't work. I keep it on blue and when my dog and I are gone, I put it on red. I have tinnitus so the sound on red doesn't bother me but it bothers the dog, otherwise I'd keep it red. It would be nice if there wasn't a sound. The only other negative is the shape/size. It obstructs both sockets on the outlet due to the rounded top. I think this design issue is endemic to all electronic pest devices though. If you're looking for a no kill method of pest control for a low cost and don't mind losing use of an outlet, this is a good investment.
