If you're looking for a drone that takes great video, photos, and/or is easy/safe to fly, this is the absolute best drone you can possibly find for $300. Period. I've done my research, if you're even thinking of spending anywhere north of $200, buy this. If you want a true beginner drone, any $20-$30 drone will do (don't worry about taking pictures, just learn to fly!). Learn till it breaks. If you want a "decent" drone, w/ GPS/RTH etc., you can probably get one of those for $100 to $150... but the range will be short, and the photo/video quality acceptable at best. If you're spending more than that, you'd be a fool not to get this. You may or may not know, but DJI is pretty much the Apple of drones. And there's a reason. This thing will hover in place like it's stuck there. Takes great video's and photos, the gimbal is smooth and accurate. Responsive controls. It will easily outclass any drone for this price. I also have a Hubsan Zino Pro+, also a great drone. A completely different drone. At $350, it's the next best value drone you can get for specs and performance in that price range. But it's a different animal. I use it for long distance missions, high winds, going out over water, etc. It will drift inches at times, if not feet, and I have to constantly keep it under control in close quarters. But in more open spaces it rips, and I love it. Wind hardly touches it. It serves a different purpose. The DJI Mini SE does lack that range, is lighter and more susceptible to high winds, and perhaps has bit shorter fly time. It doesn't have active track, or some of the other nice soft features. Other than those minor draw backs, it is an excellent drone at perhaps unparalleled value. I've seen drones in the 200-300 range and ask myself, why would I EVER buy this? Do yourself a favor, if you're looking for a GOOD QUALITY BUDGET DRONE, this is it! (Or the Hubsan Zino Pro+ if your needs are different).
