I've never been one to measure out my ingredients this carefully before, but with Thanksgiving baking I wanted to step it up a bit. This came nicely packaged and had blue film over the scale itself so it's still shiny when you get it. The tare option works well - just put your measuring whatever on it and then press "tare" so when you add the ingredients, that's not included in the weight. You can measure in several formats (grams, kilograms, pounds & ounces, fluid ounces, and milliliters) which will definitely come in handy around my house. My husband has plans to use this for pool chemicals and rock tumbling. Apparently his other scales don't go up to 22lbs and he really needs it to? Sure. Overall, the scale is very accurate and doesn't take up much space.
