Since the pandemic, I've wanted one of these simple touch-free versions. This is the second one I've tried, so I have something to compare it to. So far, I like this one the best. Likes + very simple to use + looks and feels like nice quality + very fast! + appears accurate (see dislikes for a little more on this) + nice, clear display Dislikes - does not come with required 2 AAA batteries and has a screw to close - these touch-free thermometers seem to read a little low, but this one is better than the previous one I tried Upon opening, I loved the bag and the quality of the thermometer. It looks and feels nice and has a clear instruction book. It does not come with the required 2 AAA batteries and you ha e to use the included screw and mini screwdriver to close. I like the secure close, but am not excited about having to find a screwdriver to change the batteries. I'll leave it in the bag, though, so that should help. I've found both tough-free thermkmeters to read lower than 98.6, more in the 97 range, but this one seems slightly more accurate. I like the clear display and the easy green and red backgrounds. Very simple and clear! We pointed it at the TV to see a high display. Overall, this is a good thermometer and I'm happy to have it!
