What a great product. We have owned several dehydrators over the years, Started with a Ronco and the last one was an American Harvest. The other ones were all round and all had one major flaw. The racks set right over the motor and eventually the drippings destroyed the heater. I have made jerky in this several times and appreciate this dehydrator every time I use it. The heater and motor set in the back on this one and there isn't any way for anything to come in contact with them. I only wish I had bought the 5 tray instead of the 9. Who knew that by going with the square design you would gain so much space. We have had up to 10 trays with our round trays. I have yet to fill 4 in this dehydrator.
