A movie that everybody should see
Unplanned forces us to look at an awful reality that we might be tempted to minimize. This is the true story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director that was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions. It's not a political movie, and it's not a preachy or religious movie. It shows the reality of the abortion industry and the consequences involved. Abortion says to a woman that they are not strong enough... that they will not be a good mother... that it is too hard... that they will not be able to achieve their goals... that it's not the right time. This movie is pro-woman and says otherwise. It shows the dignity of every life involved, from the mother and father to the baby and to the abortion workers. It shows the good and bad of what happens behind the walls as well as the good and bad of the pro-life movement. I commend the actors and directors who were involved in this movie (who also did an amazing job), as they took a huge risk with the possibility of being attacked and blacklisted by the people who strongly oppose the truth that this movie brings. The raw and honest truth is here in this movie. If you are pro-life, you need to see what is actually happening. If you are pro-choice, you need to see what you are supporting. Since leaving Planned Parenthood, Abby Johnson now has the support of over 500 abortion workers that her organization has helped leave the industry. Abortion is so outside the scope of polite conversation, and it shouldn't be. There has never been a film like Unplanned, and you will no longer be able to shove the conversation about abortion under the rug after seeing this film.
