My husband bought me a new flattener for Valentine's Day, and this as well. If I had bought my own flattener, I would never have purchased it, thinking it was unnecessary. I am SO glad he got this to go along with my straightener! I don't have to worry about my counters, it burning anyone while it is heating up, or it falling. My flat iron finally has a "home", and I love that it can be attached to a wall. I don't think it holds to the mirror all that well, but I value my mirror space too much to attach it there, so that is a non issue.
